WHOLE CITIES FOUNDATION IS LOOKING FOR A PART TIME NUTRITION EDUCATOR. NEWARK RESIDENTS PREFERRED.
Published August 30, 2017 | Brick City Live
Whole Cities Foundation, one of three non-profit organizations established by Whole Foods Market, is looking for a part time nutrition educator for their Newark location. Newark residents are preferred for this opportunity.
Whole Cities Foundation figured prominently in Whole Foods’ rollout in Newark earlier this year, when they awarded “Fresh, Healthy Access” grants worth $5,000 to $15,000 apiece to 11 Newark-based community gardens, local organizations and food entrepreneurs in order to help bolster the city’s local food system. For the part time contract role, which is expected to last six months, Whole Cities Foundation is looking for chefs, dietitians, community educators and candidates with similar experience who can run the all aspects of the community nutrition program, and who can serve as the face of Whole Cities Foundation in Newark. From the job description:
The Community Nutrition Educator will complete an approved curriculum in plant-based nutrition designed to inspire healthy eating among individuals, households and various community organizations. The Community Nutrition Educator will be responsible for organizing, promoting and facilitating various nutrition outreach and education events.
The person who fills the role will report to Whole Cities Foundation’s Nutrition Program Director. Download the full description for more job requirements and to learn how to apply.
