Greater Newark Conservancy offers poinsettias and wreaths for annual holiday market fundraiser
Published November 6, 2017 | Greater Newark Conservancy
Beautiful poinsettias grown at a family-run nursery. Fresh and fragrant wreaths to purchase and to decorate. Get your holiday season off to a festive start while contributing to a greener and healthier Newark.
It’s easy to do with an online purchase during Greater Newark Conservancy’s annual fundraiser. Orders must be placed by Thursday, November 16th.
“Poinsettias are thoughtful and beautiful holiday gifts for friends and family,” noted the Conservancy’s Executive Director, Robin Dougherty. “A gift sticker will let the recipient know that all funds from poinsettia sales directly benefit Newark’s students and residents through the Conservancy’s Education and Community Greening Programs.”
Poinsettias are available in traditional red, white, pink and a uniquely marbled form in a wide range of sizes. Fresh green wreaths come with a bright red bow. Dougherty added that the Conservancy can customize poinsettia and wreath orders for business owners and building managers to emphasize their brands with specialty colors like purple, blue, orange, and teal. Call for a complete color list, pricing, and to discuss your custom decorating needs.
You can also show your personal style with a self-decorated wreath to adorn your door, wall, or any place that needs a dose of cheer. The Conservancy will host a wreath decorating workshop at its first ever Holiday Market on Saturday, December 2nd. From 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., get creative with various berries, greens and baubles to decorate one 10-inch wreath to take home. The cost is $45 per person. Pre-registration is required. You can also shop for gifts and treats at the Holiday Market before or after you create your wreath (11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
Call 973.642.4646 with questions about the holiday fundraiser or the Wreath Decorating Workshop. When paying for poinsettias online, you must also submit your detailed order form to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to 973.642.2218 after entering the total order amount.
