The New Jersey Devils are dedicating several home game dates to charitable causes, including food and toy drives, in conjunction with area nonprofits.
In addition, raffles will be sold at select games which will also benefit the partner organizations.
The New Jersey Devils is holding a food drive that will take place on November 13, 17 and 21 in association with Goya Foods’ Goya Gives program and the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, the largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization in the state.
Fans who donate a minimum of two non-perishable food items will receive a voucher for two tickets to select upcoming Devils home games. The Devils helped collect 32,000 pounds of food during last season’s drive, and this year, Goya has pledged to match up to 40,000 pounds of food collected during these dates.
Lastly, the Devils’ toy drive will take place on December 1 and December 3. All toys collected will be donated to children and families within Newark. Fans can donate new toys at the arena in exchange for two tickets to select upcoming home games.
